For Amsterdam Dance Event, we invited a Harpist to play at the Amterdam Tower venue. It was cloudy all day long. However, the sun began to shine when the curtains on the balcony opened for Remy van Kesteren’s intermezzo performance. It was a magical moment and together with Remy’s mesmerizing music, it created an unforgettable moment for the audience.
The Amsterdam Dance Event was held in the Hollandsche Manege. This is a riding school that was built in 1744. To bring back the authenticity, we invited Lida Straathof to sing an opera number at the event. The song ‘Con te partiro’ was known to many, everyone started humming along and it caused a lot of excitement among the audience.
The Vrijbrief is a poem written by the Rotterdam poet Roderik. In the poem he mentions that after a long time inside, we are free to dance again. People were moved.
The Box is a light creation conceived by No Art itself. The color that No Art presents is red. This light box ensured that the entire space was completely red, without losing the authentic parts of the building.
Hyperplanar is an exploration of 3-dimensional volumes sliced into 2-dimensional planes of light, using custom laser projectors that project 360 degree sheets of light. This project is shown as an audiovisual installation, and also as a live performance.
‘I’ll dance as fast as I can’ by LR On Demand is a collaboration between Lisette Ros, Gabriel Rolt and Bas Geerts. Rolt and Geerts will be providing an improvised audio-session consisting of guitars and drums, which will form the sound field of Ros’ performance. Visually the trio will be set in a triangular shape, with at least 2 meters distance from each other. Ros, the ‘front woman’, will try to dance as fast as she can in nudity on extremely slippery red liquid (flesh and blood). There will be no internal interaction between the artists.
Take my breath away, is a work of art in which you see two people covered in balloons. They try to pop each other’s balloons. This artwork was at our event during the pandemic. This represents the true feelings and thoughts during the pandemic.
The Gabber Pianist, is a Rotterdam pianist. He is remarkable because he is part of the Dutch subculture and a fan of the hardcore music genre. Not a common combination, but that’s what makes it so special.

During the event that took place in the Waalse Kerk in Amsterdam, we wanted to give our visitors the full church experience. Because of this we have had a church choir come. They gave a short performance.
